WE ARE USDA Certified

In 2022, we were certified by the USDA as a 100% Biobased Product.  This certification helps let retailers and customers have a sense of comfort in purchasing and using our products. The certification validates our product claims of being 100% natural with no chemicals or additives. Our logs are made from sawdust that if not utilized by GMF may end up in a landfill that would harm the environment.

REPLANTING FOR THE FUTURE

In 2022, Green Mountain Firewood started the “Buy a bag, Plant a tree.” initiative— to make a donation every year towards planting new trees. GMF helped plant 20,000 Trees with US and Global tree planting initiatives. We plan to continue our donation year after year and to increase it with the amount of wood waste we process. Our hope is to continue to repurpose and recycle wood waste on an impactful scale long into the future.

Carbon Neutral Manufacturing Commitment

GMF is on schedule to achieve its goal of being a carbon neutral manufacturer by Q1 2023. Since December 2020, zero chemicals, toxins, additives, or anything inorganic is included in the manufacturing process of GMF’s fire logs.

GMF and all its employees must be dedicated to environmental social governance (ESG) and sustainable business and social development goals in line with principles and standards of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
